SOMETIMES SILENCE IS GOLDEN

SOMETIMES SILENCE IS GOLDEN.  Especially when the statement doesn’t make any sense.  In an effort to understand a statement, I recently googled the 10 most stupid things ever said.  My purpose was to see if the term Not A Good Look was listed in these hilarious statements. Google results came up with 88,300,000 in 0.58 seconds.

My findings validated my thoughts.  That there are just too many people saying stupid SH_T.  I recently took a tour of the American Best Value Inn in Baltimore City and was amazed at what I saw in broad daylight.  As I got out of the car I saw prostitution at its best before I even made it into the lobby.  Once in the lobby I was greeted with an odor I can only describe as unbearable. I then saw a desk clerk behind security glass and understood immediately what type of environment I was in.  The clerk had an unpleasant disposition and attitude.  The clients that were in the building attested to the character of the establishment.  The clerk allowed me to take a look at the event hall and let’s just say I was not surprised.  The walls appeared dingy and it was a mildew smelling empty room with tables.  I could not tell if they were covered with sheets or tablecloths.  My immediate thoughts were I would never bring my wife to an establishment like this, so how could I expect someone to bring theirs.  

Later that day I googled the Establishment and result after result listed everything from shootings to human trafficking to bed bugs.  I saw that this establishment operates in different states and all of their establishments seem to attract the same unsavory characters and illegal behaviors.  Put in that perspective the term Not A Good Look is applicable.  I was sure that I would never be a patron of that establishment in any capacity.

I guess if you are to close to the trees to see the forest, this type of behavior becomes normal and excepted. Studies show that exposure to certain behaviors over an extended period of time become socially accepted as being normal.  The further you step back from a situation, the more developed will become your vision.  Step back and take a look, its an awesome site. Where there is no vision the people perish.

How is it that everyone is boasting social consciousness these days and their understanding of man’s issues, but have no understanding of their own?

How is it, that in these days and times with the information made available to people that they still remain in the state of mind that they are in?

How do some people call themselves men, when they are still in the first stage of mental development, which is childhood?

These are some of the questions that will be investigated and expounded on in the articles to follow.
